血液の神秘

■血液

「女は血に強い」って、どっかのフィクションが発祥の言葉でしたっけ。
どうも信じている人が多い気がするんですけど、実際問題別に「女」だから血に強いってわけじゃないですよね。
しかも「強い」ってのがちょっと無理がある気がする。
普通に「血に慣れている」とすればいいのに。

というのも、この季節になると鼻血が物凄く出やすくなるのです。
去年はてっきり薬の飲みすぎで体がおかしくなっているのかと思っていたんですが、
今年はほとんど一滴も飲んでいませんからね。恐らく季節の問題です。
で、毎日のように鼻血を出していると流石に慣れるんですよね。
普通鼻血ってそんなに出ない物でしょうか。割と皆さん経験していると思うんですけど。

そこで、冒頭の言葉をもう一度考えます。
まず、「女は血に強い」という言葉が示している事は「男は血に弱い」という事でもあるわけです。
この"強弱"は意味がわからないので、意訳して「血に慣れている/不慣れである」とします。
まあつまり、「血を怖がるか怖がらないか」って事でしょうね。
しかし、血のどこに怖がる要素があるというのでしょう。
同じ体液でも鼻水を見て怖がる人が居ますか？汗を見て怖がる人がいますか？

ですからおそらく、血が怖いわけではなく血から連想される物を想像する事が怖いのでしょう。
私だって皮膚の裂け目から筋肉の断裂が見えている所なんて想像したくもありません。
このような直接的な部分だけでなく、例えば口から血を吐いた時の異の中の状態を想像する事も恐ろしいでしょう。
普段あまり目にしない場合、血液から連想できる物がそのような物くらいしか無いので血を見るのが怖くなるわけです。
しかし、例えば私のように鼻血体質であれば血から真っ先に連想する物は鼻血だし、血に触れる事に対する躊躇もありません。
何しろしょっちゅう目にし、触り、対処しているわけですから。
